Q. What do I do if I'm having trouble logging on to your site?
If you are having trouble logging on it may be that you have not yet registered. Please click here to REGISTER.

Q. Which Fidelity Insight Model Portfolio is right for me?
A. Each Portfolio is carefully designed for a specific investor profile, based on the individual's risk tolerance, time horizon, and other factors. Go to "Which portfolio is right for me?" to see which Fidelity Insight Model Portfolio best matches your own investment goals and personal profile.

Q. How are the Model Portfolios created?
A. Eric Kobren and his team analyze key factors affecting investment performance, including overall economic conditions, sector outlooks, corporate performance and more. The team also intensively evaluates and monitors individual Fidelity fund managers, in order to target the Fidelity funds best positioned to take advantage of market conditions. Finally, the funds in each Portfolio are selected for their ability to work well together to achieve strong results while mitigating volatility.

Q. How do I follow the Portfolios?
A. Each Portfolio's "Holdings" page shows the specific Fidelity funds that comprise it, and the percentage of the overall portfolio that each fund represents. You can allocate your own assets according to these percentages. On the same page, you'll see a "Current Value" figure for the portfolio. This is what the portfolio is worth since inception, after an initial $100,000 investment.

Q. Do I have to follow the Portfolios exactly?
A. The funds in each Portfolio are specially designed to balance each other in order to achieve the best possible ratio of risk and reward. Thus, you will likely get the optimal performance by following the portfolio closely. However, you can follow the Fidelity Insight Model Portfolios exactly as you wish, whether as a benchmark for your own fund selections, or as closely as possible.

Q. How will I know there’s been a trade, and how often are trades made?
A. When there is a portfolio trade, it will be detailed in our weekly Hotline message. At Fidelity Insight, we believe that investors should have a long-term outlook, but we will make portfolio trades when warranted by investing conditions.

Q. What is the Fidelity Fund Scorecard?
A. The Fidelity Fund Scorecard provides daily pricing on every retail Fidelity fund, as well as Eric Kobren’s exclusive fund ratings, to help you make better fund selection choices beyond the Model Portfolios. You can use the tool’s sorting features to locate funds based on performance, their Kobren ranking, and investment category.

Q. What do the Ratings Mean in the Fund Scorecard?
A. Eric Kobren’s Fidelity Insight evaluates Fidelity funds and assigns them a rating: Buy, OK to Buy, Hold, OK to Sell, and Sell.

Buy – Fund is recommended
OK to Buy – Fund has promise; almost as good as a buy
Hold –  Fund may be better to keep, depending on your situation
OK to Sell – Fund has little to gain, and should probably be sold
Sell – Fund is not promising and should be sold

Q. How often is Commentary updated?
A. Market Commentary is updated weekly on Monday evenings after 6:00 pm ET.

Q. How often should I visit the site?
A. Fidelity Insight simplifies your investment decisions by providing you with an easy-to-follow map to reach your goals over time. We suggest you visit at least weekly, to read our features on the market, to check performance, and to use the Fidelity Scorecard.

Q. How much money do I need to invest in the portfolios?
A. Fidelity has a $2,500 minimum investment on its non-retirement funds. Fidelity Insight's Model Portfolios usually have 5-7 funds each, so you will typically need at least $12,500 in liquid assets to follow an entire portfolio.
